The BG course maintenance crew has been working hard this summer and it shows. The course is in lush condition for late August and the cooler nights heading our way now that Labor Day is upon us will usher in another period of growth. The greens aeration accomplished more than a week ago has healed in nicely. Tees have just been aerated and fairways will be verticut after the weekend. That means we’re really set up for some great Fall playing conditions. What a difference from last year’s hurricane event! We received compliments from the USGA agronomist last week during his annual visit to update us with the most current thinking on maintenance practices.
